It's not easy being green...

I am a major PMSer.  I can always tell when my aunt flo is coming soon by the fact that I'm super hungry all the time and my fuse which is usually long...becomes super short.  So because I am a newlywed my husband and I have had to set down some rules about this time of the month.
1) I have to let him know why I'm biting his head off, changing my clothes every 10 seconds etc.
2) He is not allowed to say that I am "just PMSing"  oh no no no.
3) The only thing he is allowed to say is "It's not easy being green." (a song that yes Kermit the Frog sang because he was sad about being a frog) I think it's fitting...

So my husband coaches a high school volleyball team...and today they had their first game and I went to support my hubs.  At first it was fine...then as kids kept piling in all around me I felt my "greenness" growing.  There is nothing like obnoxious high school boys to send you in to a tizzy!  But I held it together and the boys won and it was really good!  I pray that I won't always be this way...I feel your pain Kermit!

  4. Haha...girl you made me laugh! I don't know what it is...but even after 7 years my hubby still hasn't figured that out. It's usually after I'm in tears and frustrated beyond belief that he realizes..."maybe I shouldn't be teasing you right now, huh...I'm so sorry?!" ya think babe?! Lol...GOD knows I love him but I think we may need to come up with a rule book for that lovely time of the month too! Thanks for such a great idea! Good thing you guys figured that one out early on in your marriage! ;0)

  5. ummm...you just wrote EXACTLY how I feel :) You have inspired me to set some ground rules with Jon! hahaha. Good idea. And...as I'm sure you know, it stinks to have to sub during that week! Those crazy kids get even crazier. I wanted to send my whole jr high 5th period to the office...but I don't think they let you do that... :)

  6. How funny! I got a good chuckle and an "amen" out of this post :-) LOL - I was so happy to find your blog today (via your sister who is a mutual follower of another blog I follow - good grief! that was a long "through the grapevine"). But I've been on a journey to find some kindred blog sisters, and am finally finding some! I really identified w/ so many of your posts: LOVE Sabrina and Father's Little...and can't wait for Alice to come out. Feel your pain w/ the PMS thing, and really identify w/ struggling to stay focused while praying. So glad to know there are others out there who see things like I do! Anyway, here is my blog if you'd like to check it out...I'd love to become friends! Have a great day! ~Kristin http://windy-poplars.blogspot.com
